Research

There are a number of research groups based in the Medicine Section. Successful grant applications can run from one to three years, and can have a total value of several million New Zealand dollars.

Collaborative projects link this section with others in the University of Otago including the Christchurch and Wellington Schools of Medicine as well as other universities in New Zealand and around the World. About 50 full publications are published in the peer review literature from this section each year.
