Welcome to the Developmental Genetics and Pathology Group (DGPG)
Developmental Genetics brings to mind images from genetics textbooks with pictures of fruitflies while pathology might suggest scenes of “Crime Scene Investigated” (CSI). However the DGPG research group does not work on either mutant flies or samples from a crime scene. We are interested in inherited or inborn errors of human development and disease where in this case development refers generally to the formation and growth of tissues pre and post-natally.
Our current interests are strongly focussed on pathways of development in cancer, including melanoma, kidney cancer and kidney disease including polycystic kidney disease. |
