Cherie's main research interest is the study of a human disease called Autosomal Dominant Polycystic Kidney Disease (ADPKD). This disorder affects up to 1 in 500 individuals and is a significant cause of renal failure in the population. I am interested in identifying the molecular pathways that lead to the progression of this disease, and investigating potential therapies for this condition.

Gagandeep has completed here Bachelors (H.S) and Masters (H.S) Biophysics from Panjab University, Chandigarh, India.
She is currently doing a PhD in the Developmental Genetics Group under the supervision of Prof Michael Eccles. Her research interests are Regulation of PAX 2 genes in cancer.
