Department of Pathology houses several research groups including:

A major research theme in the Pathology Department is cancer research, which is the major research activity of the Molecular Genetics Group, the Cancer Research Laboratory, the Cell Transformation Group, and the Developmental Genetics & Pathology Group. Other areas of investigation in the Pathology Department include:

  • genetics of psychological disorders (Molecular Pathology Group)
  • molecular biology of thrombosis (Molecular Pathology Group)
  • the mitotic spindle (Molecular Genetics Group)
  • mammalian development focusing on the kidney (Developmental Genetics & Pathology Group)
  • gene therapy vectors (Cell Transformation Group)
  • genetics of congenital malformations (Clinical Genetics Group)
