Lifting of the Makutu
 This critically acclaimed documentary made for television and produced and directed by Peta Carey of Watershed films documents the story of how a large family segregating a lethal disorder – otopalatodigital syndrome type 2 – were engaged by Professor Robertson in a research endeavour to find the causative genetic factor behind their condition. The film, Lifting of the Makutu, tells of how a close collaboration between two groups of people of differing cultural backgrounds evolved and ultimately succeeded in this quest.
