5th Year Teaching

During the 5th year of medical training there is an 8 week attachment to Women's and Children's Health and exposure to the chronic nature of many children's illnesses by having both a normal baby and a child with a chronic illness or disability followed with home visits regularly over a 9 month period. 6th Year Teaching

In the 6th year of medical training (the trainee intern year) there is a four week rotation in paediatrics with the focus being on practical involvement in the management of infants in both neonatal intensive care and the paediatric ward and outpatients.
