Dr John Adams and Professor Andre van Rij of the Dunedin School of Medicine, Carole Heatly, Chief Executive Officer of the Southern District Health Board, and the Board of Health Research South cordially invite you to join them for this year's Health Research Excellence Awards.

This ceremony is to acknowledge excellent research initiatives in the shared research environment of the Dunedin School of Medicine and the Southern District Health Board.

Presentations to be made on the night will include:

Requests for Applications

Applications are invited for the Health Research Excellence Awards for 2013.

The Health Research Excellence Awards Ceremony provides a significant opportunity to recognise the work of emerging and established researchers across a range of research activities. All Dunedin School of Medicine and Southern District Health Board staff who are, or intend to be involved in research are encouraged to consider the attached requests for applications.

Awards will be made for:

• SDHB Clinical Research Award (Microsoft Word 80 KB)
• SDHB Research Project Initiative (Microsoft Word 90 KB)
• SDHB Nursing, Midwifery and Allied Health Practitioners (Microsoft Word 80 KB)
• Research Support (Microsoft Word 80 KB)
• Research Publication (Microsoft Word 80 KB)
• Best Published Paper by a PhD Student (Microsoft Word 80 KB)
• Best Health Research poster (Microsoft Word 80 KB)
• Research Development Investment - for DSM staff (Microsoft Word 290 KB)

Applications close 3 April 2013 and will be administered by Lucy Gray of the Dean's Office, DSM.

Awards will be presented at the annual ceremony on Monday, 20 May 2013.
