Research saves lives...

...improves health, and is the foundation of clinical practice. Dunedin School of Medicine (DSM) has a strong research tradition, and many researchers are international leaders in their areas.

Much of the research is conducted in partnership with the Southern District Health Board (SDHB). Health Research South (HRS) promotes, monitors and approves the arrangements for undertaking research and to ensure patient safety in research.
